Dr. Michael Flaherty

Michael J. Flaherty graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Houston where he was elected by the University faculty to be a member of the National Dean’s List for three consecutive years. After pursuing an interest in research at Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Cell Biology, as well as M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, he then earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Dr. Flaherty performed his Internal Medicine internship and residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Subsequently, he performed a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Northwestern University’s Memorial Hospital where he also held a Faculty Appointment as Instructor. Dr. Flaherty received his Board Certification from the American Board of Radiology in 2002 and is eligible for the ABR Neuroradiology Certificate of Additional Qualifications.

Dr. Flaherty was a Medical Staff member of Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Department of Radiology in Chicago, providing interpretation of radiographic studies including Level I Trauma ER coverage. He then joined Camelot Radiology in Rockford, IL, providing Neuroradiology services for various hospital clients.
